This is how I roll and you know it.

Pacquiao vs. De la Hoya Dream match

We went out last time Pacquiao had a bout against Diaz but this time around we stayed in and brought the party to us and ordered PPV instead. Food and alcohol plus the company of friends and family watching the pride of Philippine boxing scene is a night to show your support to the man that brought halt to a whole country during his dream fight.

It was a one-sided battle. Pure domination from the first round as De la Hoya gets pummeled by Manny's quick punches that surprises the audience on how did he land those punches with such ease against the Golden Boy of boxing. Oscar can't do anything else but try to block and defend his face from getting pulverized by the best pound per pound boxer of the world.

We had a drink every time the word "Filipino" was mentioned and every time the bell rang. Needless to say, the sub-plot increased the level of our enjoyment as we now no longer just focus on the punches being delivered but also had our ears hanging on every word the commentator has to say.

Alas, at the end of the eight round Oscar agrees with his coach's decision that its time to quit and forfeit the fight as he can no longer keep up and have no fighting chance of winning against Pacquiao.

Manny: You are still my Idol.
Oscar: No, you are now my idol.

The torch has been passed.

The fight concludes with our cheer and praises for Manny. It was at a highpoint the whole way. Since the fight ended a lot earlier than we had anticipated we filled the gap with mindless drinking games to top off the night.
