Training week has come and gone and expectations grew higher as I continue on with SCADA integreation with RTAP/Plus. Lectures were boring at times but the labs were rigidly intense. I was in definite need of a roborant after such a intensively exhausting week. Sleep is now my new companion though I find it harder to sleep in now. I can't sleep for ten hours straight anymore but that doesn't mean that I can't stay in bed for 10 hours straight either. I'll just breeze through episodes of Lost as I recuperate my strength. That's how I roll and you know it.

I can now officially consider myself as an iPhone noob as i have jumped on the band wagon. It just makes sense since I can go in the best corporate plan Bell has to offer for Enbridge. I'm gonna be glued into finding apps and applying all the functionalities of my new device to seemlessly make my life easier and better.

I attended a meeting at work today regarding the LINUX Porting that is about to be rolled out. Rtap, SVN, Artifacts, Build, DB, Debug and HP-UX are the only ones that rang a bell. It lasted for 2 long hours of acronym jargon in which 95% of it I had no clue what they stand for. The flow charts comprise the other 5%. All in all, I hope that I can understand what the hell they are refering to the next time I attend one of these meetings.

Recent events have given an upturn to my dismal existence as I have acquired new employment. A far more satisfying career with a great working environment adds up to a progressively uplifting morale. Recession can just suck it! Suck it good!
Working downtown exposes a great experience both in culture and professional work. However, the cost of supporting such environment also has it downside. Parking alone eats up a lot of wads. But I still prefer this than working on site. Working on the 22nd floor is a big step up from working in a make shift office inside a live oil refinery plant.
Its the end of my second week and my RTAP training will start on mid-November. By then I hope that I have adjusted a whole lot more to my new work conditions which I doubt would be that difficult.
